In the fall of 2019 we started up a collaboration with a healthy eating project. In particular, we focused on breakfast items. It was a lot of fun using natural and studio lighting to bring thieir vision to life.

It ain't easy being green! In the past year John and I have done numerous projects highlighting the 100 mile diet for Bon Appetit magazine. If you didn't know, it is a diet where everything that you eat is sourced from somewhere within a 100 mile radius from you. Easier said than done, but it promotes clean eating and good environmental practices. And we got a lot of great photos from it too of course!

Small focus for a big impact; that was my motto going into our biggest photography project to date! Bon Appetit magazine was making a special issue about Canadian food and we were tasked with laying out 20 pages of content in addition to providing photographs! As a pair, John and I started designing and brainstorming our ideas and within 2 weeks we had our plan and flew out to New York to get right in the action. It was our first chance to be collaborating with the New York team in person, and we had a blast! Our work with them was awarded the 2018 Reader's Digest Good Food award, a huge honour for our team of two. Not only were we getting our work out in front of Canadians and Americans alike, which is always our number one gooal, but critics in the industry were able to see our design chops at work. We hope you pick up a copy at your local newstand!
